- Paula Marie Scatoloni

Below you'll learn how Paula Marie bridges disciplines as a practitioner, guide, intuitive sound healer, somatic coach, writer, mentor, and speaker.

Master Teacher of Somatics, Psychology, Spirituality, and Sound

Since the age of 17, I have been on a path to conscious embodiment and mind-body healing. Today, I bring together my understanding of the intersection of consciousness and embodiment through the lens of psychology, psychoneuroimmunology, body-oriented trauma therapy, movement education, Biofield science, and spiritual wisdom. My unique perspective and expertise address how our beliefs and behaviors are shaped by our physiology, movement patterns, and relational templates.

Transformative Harmonics is an integration of my understanding and expertise in mind-body practices such as Somatic Experiencing, Sensorimotor Therapy, Dynamic Attachment Re-Patterning, Transforming the Experienced-Based Brain, Relational Bodywork and Somatic Education, and Embodied Recovery. As a counselor, I have integrated Jungian Psychology, Interpersonal Neurobiology, and parts work into my approach since the 1980’s. I am a Healing Arts Practitioner certified in Dr. Stephen Porges, Safe and Sound Protocol, Biofield Tuning, and Holy Fire Reiki. I offer certification in Reiki to Transformative Harmonics students and draw from my mentorship with advanced Biofield Tuning practitioners such as Diane Huduck. I have led clinical teams at institutions such as Duke University, co-developed treatment programs for eating disorders with Dr. Anita Johnston and co-created professional training programs such as The Embodied Recovery Institute with Rachel Lewis.

Today, I am here to help individuals and professionals develop more self-love, empowerment, and embodied presence while enhancing their capacity for joy, creativity, and nourishing relationships. I offer immersive retreats and courses that are designed to provide a relational ecosystem to engage in deep, sustained healing at the individual, ancestral, and collective levels.

Whether you are intuitive, sensitive, a deep thinker, an activist, a Wayshower, an embodiment coach, a seeker of consciousness, or simply someone who is curious, this space is crafted for you!

Together, let's strive for a world where we can all hold space and celebrate our uniqueness while developing the capacity to restore our interconnectivity and universal mission with one another.

My Story

I am a second generation child of English and Italian immigrants. I was raised in Southern CA in the 1970’s and 1980’s. Looking back now, I see that dance and music were my primary anchors for understanding the connection between embodiment and consciousness since early childhood. I was born an empath and highly intuitive with no framework for understanding these gifts and struggling with the complexities of developmental trauma. I was a dancer until the age of 13 and when I stopped dancing, I subsequently was thrown into a dark period of dis-embodiment for over 8 years managing like many, by dis-engaging from the body in creative and sometimes painful ways.

Thankfully, in my young adulthood, I relocated to Hawaii where I engaged in Eastern and Western explorations of consciousness through ancient and scientific perspectives that included experiential body-based therapies, movement practices like the 5-Rhythms, women’s groups, Siddha Yoga, and the traditional Sufi dances.

Through many years I came to heal my inner wounds and deepen my connection to Self (source) energy as I came to understand that we all have suffering and we are all trying to make meaning of our existence and purpose in the world.

After completing a Master in Social Work, I spent two more decades studying how life experiences shape our capacity for connection to self, others, and the world around us.

I spent a decade studying body-based trauma approaches so that I could better understand how adverse events and stress impact our biology, physiology, emotional capacity, relational interactions, and connection to our creativity and sense of ourselves as divine spiritual beings.

Today, I refer to myself as a “bridge” between science and spirituality. I help translate “symptoms” into a language that allows for a more expanded version of ourselves as humans so we can have a better experience of ourselves through our emotions, our relationships, our bodies, and our energy systems.

I have come to understand that our body holds the key to the deeper wisdom of who we truly are and who we are meant to be. Our body holds our learned patterns from our experiences and is the bridge to understanding how consciousness affects healing.

If you are currently on a path toward a deeper sense of consciousness through embodiment, feel free to contact me for a discovery call.

Warmly,

Paula

“Healing is not about “fixing” or being “cured”. Rather, it is about re-membering - aspects of the CORE self, our ancestral narrative, our collective lineage that hold both our pain and our inherent joy. Healing in and through the body, allows us to engage with our learned patterns and defenses as we bring awareness and compassion to these unmet places - where our joy, spontaneity, and creative freedom reside”.
