What To Expect

These sessions often guide clients into deep theta healing states, similar to meditation or lucid dreaming. In these states, the body and mind enter a space of profound receptivity and transformation.

Over the past 15 years, I’ve experienced many sound therapy and healing sessions, but none quite like this. Using songs with lyrics from the 70s, 80s, and 90s, (songs that evoke deep nostalgia), Paula Channels precisely what you need to hear to unravel and heal your core wound.

The process begins in a relaxed, open state, where Paula channels and prepares about six songs arranged in a sequence that takes you on a soulful journey. Prior to the session, I was emotionally stressed, (related to family issues). Being a sensitive Pisces, tears are often near the surface for me, but this session took me to a whole new level. I was left so raw and vulnerable afterward that I couldn’t speak for hours, and I remained super sensitive for about ten days afterwards.

I tried to explain the experience to my dear friend Tammy, describing the deep emotional release and how listening to the recorded playlist would bring tears every time. Tammy reflected that, during this time of Great Change on Earth, that we are being asked to break open rather than break down. Which is really true.

In the Gene Keys holographic profile, the core wound represents the nexus of the collective and personal pain we carry. It drives our evolution and reflects the suffering of humanity as a whole. My specific core wound is line 5, which is associated with ‘guilt’, and the remedy is ‘forgiveness’.

As Richard Rudd discusses the concept of this core wound, he explains, “There appears to be a lot of unreadable information encoded into our so-called ‘junk DNA.’ This vast reservoir of data may well contain the history of our evolution as a species. In this context, it is true to say that we each hold the karmic hologenetic memories of our ancestors, including their dreams, and deeds, deep within our unconscious. To truly penetrate this miasma of collective memory, we must each undertake the Shaman’s journey into the sacred wound, the collective pain of our entire species”.

He also talks about how so much of our human history has been rooted in violence and fear, while we remained largely ignorant of the true nature of our consciousness. For millennia, we have struggled to overcome the reptilian programming of our ‘old’ brain. Yet, there are those who have prevailed and who have bravely faced the shadow until the truth of love and light are remembered. The following weekend, I attended a surfing memorial event for a dear friend's brother who had committed suicide, and it was such an emotional gathering of many friends from my childhood. I was still on the way driving in their listening to the recorded playlist of my songs and by the time I got in there again I was so wide open that I couldn’t even make eye contact with friends from the past without feeling everything in their heart and suffering mixed with emotion and pain. Again another common Pisces issue but to a whole new level. But as hard as that is, its very much known in my heart to be the ultimate necessity for the healing and unravelling of the collective wound. And so It is.

Before Your Session

To receive the greatest benefit from your session, it’s important to prepare your space and energy in a way that supports deep presence and ease.

  • Choose a quiet, comfortable space where you can rest undisturbed. A yoga mat, floor, or couch all work well.
  • Hydrate well beforehand to support your body’s energetic flow.

  • You’ll receive a curated playlist to use between sessions. Repeated listening can support deeper emotional processing and insight, facilitating continued integration over time.

After Your Session

Take time to honor and integrate the experience:

  • Set aside 20–30 minutes for quiet reflection, journaling, or rest.
  • Additional integration practices may include:
  • Time in nature
  • An Epsom salt bath
  • Continued hydration
  • Journaling to capture insights
  • Gentle movement or stillness to support embodiment and nervous system regulation

These simple practices help anchor the shifts initiated in session and support your body’s natural detox and realignment processes.
