Safe & Sound Protocol
The Safe and Sound Protocol is a five-hour therapeutic listening intervention that I use as a form of psychoacoustic sound healing. But, the SSP isn’t simply five hours of music — it’s a comprehensive approach to healing. It helps unlock your ability to think, feel and connect better through nervous system regulation and creates a safe space for brain and body integration and healing to achieve impactful, long-lasting results.
“The cues from the safe individual enable the sick or compromised person not to be in defensive states. When we are in a defensive state, then we are using metabolic resources to defend. It’s not merely that we can’t be creative or loving when we’re scared; we can’t heal.”
― Stephen W. Porges, The Pocket Guide to the Polyvagal Theory: The Transformative Power of Feeling Safe
Repatterning the nervous system through listening.
Developed after years of research by Dr. Stephen Porges, based on Polyvagal Theory, the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) is a five-hour therapeutic listening intervention that I use as a form of psychoacoustic sound healing.
Originally designed to improve regulation and overall health, this vagal nerve stimulator works directly with the nervous system to shift the body and nervous system out of states of fight-flight-freeze into states of relaxation and relational connectivity.
Using sound frequencies through the auditory pathway, the SSP provides the listener with cues of safety to create more calmness and harmony in the body, mind, and nervous system. In addition, as a vagal nerve stimulator, many emotional, behavioral, or psychological patterns that are caused because we are stuck in states of fear, begin to shift and change during this process.

How Does The Safe & Sound Protocol Work?
The music of the SSP has been filtered through a patented, evidence-based algorithm that highlights specific sound frequencies that help regulate the autonomic nervous system.
Pre-requisites:
A quiet setting with no distraction.
Equipment:
Individuals need access to an over the ear headset and an Iphone for the SSP experience.
Introducing: Transformative Harmonics
A unique approach to using sound and vibration (Safe and Sound Protocol)
I offer a unique approach to using the Safe and Sound Protocol that combines movement, breath, somatics, and bioenergetic healing into the SSP nervous system re-tuning experience to offer a holistic and unique experience that works to harmonize the body, mind, and heart.
Transformative Harmonics is a self-paced program that is designed to help you reconnect to the deepest core of yourself (the inner child). This includes reframing beliefs that have kept you out of self-love and empowerment, while also inviting you into more heart consciousness and the capacity to offer attuned presence to those around you.

Recent Testimonial
"Paula’s intuitive, wise, compassionate presence while listening to the SSP transformed life inhibiting somatic, relational and emotional narratives held by parts of myself, into life sustaining narratives. An emergent felt sense of safety and calm evolved in my personal life and my witnessing presence with others as a clinical psychologist. I unreservedly recommend that you invite her into your process while listening to the SSP."
